fighting purposes. Last year, owing to a lack of ammunition the

rebels in Kwong Sai were unable to carry out a rebellion, as

although they had plenty of Mauser Rifles, still they had not

sufficient ammunition. They have now obtained from Japan 6 sets

of Machine Guns each one weighing 700 catties and valued at

$120,000. Being afraid that the Customs Authorities will stop

their entry they will send them to Pakhoi which is 3 days journey

from Nam Ning. When these cartridges arrive they will combine

with the foreign troops, start the rebellion in Kwai Lam and

from there carry the rebellion to Canton.

The originator of this rebellion was Lun

Mau whom Chan Kwai Shek, Hung Chun Kwai and other are now day

and night in consultation with the triads at the triad meeting

houses. This movement is most irregular and the writer has .repeatedly searched for traces of Hung Tsun Kwai and Lung Tso Kwong. Some say they have gone to the Straits Settlements, and some say that they are hiding in Hongkong. Besides steps being taken to find out where these persons are, secret enquiries must be made in Hongkong and all the circumstances reported

for further enquiries.
